Entry Fee is $20.00 per weenie racer; all proceeds go towards Midwest Dachshund Rescue.

Race Rules

All weenies must be leashed before and after race.

Only time dogs aren’t leashed is during race.

You are allowed to bring your dog’s favorite toy to use during the race to encourage racers.

The only humans allowed in the race are the weenie’s owner and “briber” who will wait at the finish line with toy bribery. Limit of 2 humans per dog. Owner will place dog in the starting gate and “briber” will wait at finish line. If you need someone to act as “briber”, please let us know and we will have a staff member assist you.

Separate race for “mixed weenies” – dachshunds with a dab of different breed – limit weight of 20 pounds.

No food (human or dog) or other pets allowed in racetrack area.

Owners are required to clean up after weenie accidents.

All dogs should be on their best behavior (i.e. no fighting, biting or aggressiveness ); if your dog exhibits signs of negative behavior, you will be disqualified and asked to leave the premises. No refunds will be provided.

Race Day could be hot, so be sure to hydrate your pup accordingly... The rule is "Clear Pee by 3 (PM)!
